while the cat is away...

work is very quiet and i'm taking full advantage of it. as i mentioned in my last post, everyone except for my close friend in the office is gone. it is divine! no loud, obnoxious coworkers who like to mingle spanish words in with her everyday conversation. no boss to hand me more work. no nosy coworker asking me the latest dish on my friend. no coworker who thinks he's all that telling me how hot his wife is. none of it. and it's lovely! my friends, i can blog and check facebook without an ounce of fear. welcome to my ideal work week!

remember the ringworm post from back in january? yeah, jackson still has it. in fact, now it's spread to our other cat, troy. after getting utterly frustrated with our vet and their *terrible* customer service, we decided to try someone new. we have appointments for both cats scheduled for tomorrow morning. i'm hoping that we can kick this once and for all. have you ever tried bathing a cat? it's not easy.

my TMJ is getting better. (have i mentioned that i have it?) i started having problems with my jaw a few weeks ago. actually, it was right when we were getting the house ready to put on the market, so i'm wondering if it had anything to do with stress. my bite was all jacked up and i couldn't bite down all the way, nor could i really open my mouth. it was awful! i never went to my dentist, but rather decided to self-diagnose via info i found on the internet. a coworker mentioned that she had had it before and that her dentist told her to sleep with a mouthguard. i went to the grocery store and picked up a pee-wee league mouthgaurd from the sporting goods section. i've been sleeping with it every night since and it has made a world of difference. my bite is correct again and the pain has dropped dramatically. last night, i forgot to wear it and i woke up grinding my teeth. i never knew i did that! it was one of the nastiest feelings ever. at least i've found what works.

Patrick grinds his teeth. I'm totally going to make him do this. I can't stand waking up to hear that awful sound!

So it's a quiet week all around for you guys? Nice.

g - doesn't it hurt his jaw? how does he not have severe pain from it? i got my mouth guard for like $1.67 or something ridiculously cheap like that.

don't you love when you can fix things yourself? for cheap? especially when it results in not paying for a doctor visit!

any bites on selling the house yet? i forgot if you said you had found a new one or not. i remember you saying something about being closer to jas' parents...

we had a showing on it 2 weekends ago, but nothing more than that. i know the market is still trying to heat up, so i'm not too stressed. i'd be happy if it sold, but i'm equally as happy if it doesn't for another year since where we're currently living is much cheaper.

we've looked online at houses, but haven't seen anything in person yet. of course i've found one that i love, but i'm not getting my hopes up.
